Robert Plant and Alison Krauss Confirm Second Leg of North American Raising Sand Tour
Tickets for New Dates On Sale March 3

Plant & Krauss
Robert Plant and Alison Krauss, whose critically-lauded, Gold album Raising Sand continues to be a top-seller worldwide, have confirmed an additional 17 North American tour dates through July 1. Tickets for the newly announced shows will begin going on sale March 3 (details below).

Recipients of the 2007 Grammy award for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals, for the track "Gone Gone Gone (Done Moved On)", Plant and Krauss - along with Raising Sand producer and band leader T Bone Burnett - are creating a show that will feature songs from their collaborative release, as well as from the artists' extensive career discographies.

Band members for the tour include Jay Bellerose (drums) and Dennis Crouch (bass) - both of whom played on Raising Sand - as well as Buddy Miller (guitar) and Stuart Duncan (fiddle, mandolin and other instruments). Burnett will play guitar and six-string bass, as well as perform several songs.

As previously announced, Robert Plant and Alison Krauss kick-off their Raising Sand World Tour in April with a brief run of shows that includes an April 25 performance at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. They follow those dates with eleven shows in Europe and the U.K. that conclude with a performance at Wembley Arena on May 22.

Ticket information for all of the Raising Sand tour dates is available on the artist's websites: robertplantalisonkrauss.com, robertplant.com, alisonkrauss.com, and tboneburnett.com.

I LOVE Buddy Miller - he's great (as is his wife). If you ever saw/heard Emmylou's Spyboy band, you know (or when he toured with Steve Earle and countless others).

I see there is a Red Rocks date for the Summer Solstice.

I had to miss Plant & Page at the Rocks when my mom passed so this could be a nice replacement.

Thanks for the Heads-Up, so to speak!

Hey Busc- are you in Boulder? If so, come have a beer(s-many) with the wife and I at the Broker Inn across the street from our daughters dorm. We'll be out there for a few days in early May to bring her back from school.

I am living in one of my rentals in Aurora on the east side of civilization, nothing but prarie to the east of me.

I own a few houses out here and when I moved back to town last year this was being vacated so I moved in till it sells or I find a good renter. It is on a golf coarse so I can't say I hate it.

But I want to move back to the foothills sooooooooooooooooooo bad.

I have a very good friend from high/prep school back in NH who lives in Aurora. Stalk him with my permission. Brad and Susan Brunner. Don't know how big Aurora is, but if you have never seen a grown man shit his pants, cruise by house when he's mowing and ask him if he knows where Colly lives. You know, Jolly Colly who lived with Joe Harding with you out in Camerons house. You'll be in for tequilia shots for the night!i'm laughing already!!

I listened to much of that CD and it's just "eh." If you like voices more than music, then you might like it. The songs are really kind of poppy. I guess that since it's Robert Plant from a 70s supergroup that it has some marginal interest among some people on this forum, but my guess is that most wouldn;t really give it a second listen. Also, I would imagine that live performances of many of the songs that I heard would not be very exciting.

I saw the CMT show and thought they were pretty damn good - great musicians (come on, buddy miller and t-bone burnette won't interest anyone on this forum?). But folks can judge for themsleves - the video is here. I'll go see them at the Greek

Maybe. Everyone likes different things. I'm just a Led Zeppelin hater.

yeah, you're probably right.
Two great vocal stylists of increadible stature,
who have been around for decades, accompanied by impeccable,
accomplished musicians. Yeah, they probably dont know
how to put on a good show with good music.

Now now, don't be a little baby. I've listened to the music and it doesn;t sound like it would be that much fun at a show. No doubt they're all good and successful, but that doesn;t mean you'll enjoy it. Operas have some of the best musicians in the world playing in them, but I wouldn't go see one if it was in my living room.

to drive for 3 and a half hours (one way)
to go see this show...
